Three years of bad work is coming to an end! Ever since I started my survey business, I've been using the same shoddy interviewing platform which I built back around the turn of the millenium (while sitting in a starbucks, cold-sweating, wondering why on earth I had turned in notice at my current job.)

I tried writing an upgrade a half-dozen times, but it was...

Tawnya and Rice are fucking awesome.

Lankakitten and I met them for lunch at Beth's Cafe. Then all of a sudden about 3PM, I started getting that "something's going wrong on my servers" feeling. I shoved the anxiety down, but it kept nagging me.

We got home about 4PM and wouldn't you know it, everything was fucking melting down in real-time. The phone kept ringing....

Sorry. It was probably all my fault, because I am in fact not "good people", I am "that great and fiery evil". Sorry for all that I have done.
tawnya:
Dude, you guys are awesome!

So, that movie theatre, Big Picture? The bad news is that one screen thing makes it tough to check out. Right now it's playing 'Pride and Prdjudice' which I could not possibly be less interested in seeing. I'll keep an eye out for their next movie, and when they land on a good one we'll hit that shit up.

[wah, wah wah -- emo-like post -- deleted]

I hate that one little typo in a huge eighty-page survey could cost me (personally) thousands of dollars. I don't have the personality type that can handle this kind of responsibility, so at events if I look like a zombie it's because I'm worried about a survey putting the ruin on me.

mad

But hey, it's not that...

I'd create a babelfish site for blind people that would speak other sites. you say the name of a site, and it goes there and starts speaking it.

That shit would make loads of money.

Proclaim yourself the messiah of a new religion and get people to send you donations. Religious freaks love to give money.

Dear Safeway Ethics Hotline (business.ethics@safeway.com),

While shopping at your store recently, I discovered a puzzling phenomenon:

6-packs of 8oz cans of Coca Cola cost $2.50 for 48 ounces
2-litre bottles of Coca Cola cost $1.25 for 67 ounces.

While one could argue that aluminum cans cost more to manufacture, I prefer to believe that by making it economically infeasible for your customers to buy the...

Put a new server together last night. The hard part about setting up a server is that it's always a) an emergency, and b) four in the fucking morning.

New Years Resolutions:

So often I get something nice like a new apartment or a computer chair or something and I don't take care of it. I'm not saying that I'm filthy, but I really only put effort into cleaning things when it gets sort of bad and offends my sensibilities. It would be nice to put the effort into regular maintenance for my stuff....

Well, I don't really like making new years resolutions, but if I did, it would probably be to get in better shape so I don't die during the 26 mile marathon that I'm supposed to run in June.

To get my ass moved and get most the shit in my life resolved to a point that I am happy with and don't wanna change it.

LankaKitten paints me in a bad light. I was just saying that if one were stuck in the middle of a severe disaster, having access to a gun could be important for holding out until help arrives. (Yes, I said "holding out".)

For example, in 1964 Anchorage, AK there was a 9.2 earthquake that leveled the city. Nobody rioted. But if they did, you would...

I discovered today that Vitamin Water is sugary and tastes like Gatorade. There's nothing water-like about it!

Merry Christmas to everyone!

I wish I could buy you a drink.
fallfromgrace:
And I you, my friend...

I have presents for you and Lankakitten. smile

I'd love to deliver them tomorrow, if you're still in the area.
