At one point there at Cedar's Restaurant I was looking around at everybody seated around our round table and I realized that everybody had showed up for my birthday. It was a good feeling, I felt blessed with friendship and good cheer.

I didn't even miss not getting snockered off cheap well drinks.

Ugh. Blew my video card while trying to replace its broken fan. I was clipping off the plastic plugs that held the old fan in place and accidentally scratched the surface of the board with the cuticle clippers I was using.

This one has some possibilities for me, primarily because of the interest I would have in observing the gradual changes in the image. Again, insofar as I am not planning to personalize a large number of items at this point (i.e., clothing and other accessories), I would not purchase this item if it required a significant outlay for images that I might never use.

Yesterday was obnoxious, drama-queen stuff. Yes, I had a client go all ape-shit on me about some cosmetic stuff. Yes, I took it personally that they said the survey was visually unappealing. Yes, I probably lost quite a bit of money. In the grand scheme of things though, it's not that important.

The phone call at dinner was from my mom.

My dad died.

I'm more relieved than sad, I think. I've been so worried for so long now. I feel more like he died when he had his stroke back in early July than I do tonight.

(I'm rather glad I had two drinks with dinner.)
