LankaKitten, my wife, tagged me, so here's 20 things you probably don't know about me:

1. Witnessed a gang shooting at a chinese arcade once. The gangster guy took it point blank in the stomach. Pow! (Cue screaming teenagers stampeding out onto the street.)

2. I had bad constipation problems in 5th grade. I often went two weeks without sitting on a toilet. Then...

A customer of mine was wrapping up his year-end accounts and discovered that he hadn't paid me for three research studies back in Spring, so he asked for an invoice. I put it together and realized that it came out to $13,000, which is a lot of money on an individual level, but on a business level it's just enough to start thinking about re-investing...

Are bars as risky as restaurants? What kind of atmosphere or crowd would you aim to have? Like the booze-making, it's a very cool idea for a business - and thankfully more realistic.

Every year, for halloween, I'm too busy to make a costume. It feels, shitty. And so we're here in Seattle, a new state for us, and this year we've got costumes. Even better, I've made mine, which has caused endless eye-rolling with the missus, who is not a fan of rave culture.

But I keep beading away, assembling my army of bracelets and pacifiers, glowsticks...

lostepoch:
Hah, I don't know when she has them. However I've got an insider. A good friend of mine in the advertising department is gonna look around for her. He's a popular kid to so hopefully it won't be that hard.

YAY! I'm all excited! We bought the container to put the keg in today. I don't even like beer, so the Ketel will be good to have around. I also burned six CDs to boogey down to. Maybe now I should work on my costume, eh? biggrin
strongmad:
Don't tell anyone, but I hit that cursive A that night.

And I think I have actually seen you eat swimming rama, no?

I love when people don't like how their hair looks, 'cause I just sit back and say "at least you still have more than I do". But hey, I understand. I had a full head of hair about six or seven years ago. So I know where you're coming from. Just take comfort in knowing it will grow back. And dread the day it doesn't.

The good: worked out today for the first time in months.

The bad: got a haircut that's so bad, I may just wear a beanie until December.

Pictures may be forthcoming.

That's so awesome! I will HAVE to knit you a beanie for Christmas now! (But the bad haircut thing sucks, you know, for you.wink)
strongmad:
Sounds like your haircut might work perfectly for your costume! biggrin

Tipsy three times in just half a week. I'm either becoming an alcoholic or a normal guy...

Do you ever just sit down and have a little extended session with yourself where you slowly creep around a realization, you know, an epihany, and once you've worked it out you realize that it would have been obvious to anyone else given even a vague rundown of...

YES, bah, it happens to me constantly at work. There's always some work-around that I FINALLY realize when it should have been so simply obvious in the first place.

Anyway they gave me vicadin but that shit doesn't do anything for me.

Isn't that song great? I randomly found that guy while rummaging through myspace one day. Cool name too, Alcoholiday.

Interesting things that happened this weekend:

* At the funeral, we discovered that my step-mother had edited my mom and her 17 years of marriage out of the "biographical DVD presentation" of my dad's life.

* I was banned from speaking at the funeral. (But it was okay, because it hadn't occured to me that there would be speaking.)

* At Disneyland, a cast member...

My plane flight to Los Angeles leaves at 8:30AM tomorrow. It's for my dad's funeral. I'm quite freaked out. I miss my dad.

I don't like missing my dad.

At one point there at Cedar's Restaurant I was looking around at everybody seated around our round table and I realized that everybody had showed up for my birthday. It was a good feeling, I felt blessed with friendship and good cheer.

I didn't even miss not getting snockered off cheap well drinks.

We're now the proud owners of a rusty...
