Maybe I've been drinking too much it looks like I'm getting the starts of a beer belly. It's not too bad but I think I'm going to either slow it on the drinking or exercise. Well I like drinking and exercise is good for you right?
Well the Kuyahoga Fest was pretty cool I ended up going with Beth and one of her friends I didn't know. I actually came across a few other people I knew all in all an enjoyable day. It started out a bit hot but I didn't mind I just walked around barefoot. The first band we watched Six Parts Seven was nice and mellow I just sort of lounged out on the grass enjoying it. I think the Go! Team was next I didn't get into them too much but the lead singer was british which was nice I always found girls with British accents hot I don't know what it is. I ended up raining a while after that which just made me soggy and cold I watched a few other bands afterwards but nothing too impressive. In the middle of the Sonic Youth set we went to go watch Midlake which was probably the second best band I got to see there.. I have to say Texas actually produces some very good bands can't say the same for presidents. Secrete Machines were next on some other stage so I decided on getting a 9 dollar beer while watching them my friends liked them more than I did. We watched Death Cab after that they were just alright nothing too impressive if you asked me. I saw a bit of the She Wants Revenge set but it just came off as a bad Interpol rip off band in my opinion. The highlight of the whole thing was The Flaming Lips though they alone were worth sitting out in the rain all day one of the best shows I've ever seen someone put on. I guess I'm impressed by theatrics and cheap tricks but that works for me as long as there is good music along with it. There was a nice happy vibe going on the whole time and just ended things on a great note.
I've been working on my mood all week I have to say I've been in a better state of mind which is nice but I know sometimes I still get moody and intolerable but fuck I'm working on it. I've actually accomplished some things this week I just hope to carry that off into next week.
