I guess the first post should be describing myself but I don't feel like it. So here are 20 random facts about me.
1) I grew up in Boston, MA.
2) I love living in Austin, but sometimes I miss living in DC and being in the Nations Capital.
3) I both love and hate politics. I went to college in Washginton DC so that I could work on Capital Hill until I realized what an ugly business it can be.
4) I'm a very liberal democrat but I try to listen to other points of view. I sometimes fail. But living in Texas has definitely taught me about opposing view points.
5) I love to work out and hate to eat healthy.
6) I lift weights regularly and would love to be really muscular. I hate it when women say they don't want to bulk up. Strong = sexy.
7) My biggest fear in life is sustaining some kind of injury or going through some kind of accident that leaves me in chronic, debilitating pain
8) I have two dogs (shelties) that I love very, very much.
9) I hate kids but love things made for kids. I watch the disney channel, download kids movies, and occasionally browse the toy aisles at Target.
10) I'm not much of a relationship person. I haven't had a boyfriend in forever because I'm pretty happy on my own.
11) Almost all of my friends are guys. I'm not quite sure why that is.
12) I'm a computer geek and I love everything Apple. I would buy a block of wood with the apple logo on it if Steve Jobs told me to.
13) I'm an atheist, but I try to respect the beliefs of others as long as they don't force them on me. I try really hard not to be an asshole about it.
14) I'm starting to like a couple of reality TV shows and this fact greatly disturbs me.
15) 99% of my close friends are younger than I am.
16) I try really hard not to be self-conscious about my age. I succeed about 80% of the time.
17) I'm 33.
18) I abhor the thought of "settling down"
19) I'm the only person in my entire family that does not live in New England and I am extremely proud of that fact.
