Day #3 in Fun Factstravaganza brought to you by Blossom and the random shit she's picked up and stored as "knowledge."

.) Renowned Comic book creator Stan Lee was born as Stanley Lieber, as with at least 50% of all "modern" comic book super hero creators he is Jewish and was forced to change his name in order to get work.

.) The creator of Captain America Joe Simon was actually a Canadian immigrant.

.) The Persian peoples used to ride into battle with their cats on their shoulders the cat was often used as a distraction to assist their human in battle.

.) Egyptians used to shave their eyebrows to mourn the passing of their cat (thanks to Minxxy this is something random that I know.)

.) The Dark Knight movie is actually not much like the graphic novel, they used the name...but didn't use the storyline of an embittered aging Batman.

.) In 1951, the remains of a 2,500-year-old Egyptian mummy mysteriously washed ashore on a Florida beach.

.) A guitar pick used by Kurt Cobain (Nirvana) was carried to Mars aboard NASA's Mars Exploration Rover "Spirit."

.) American televangelist Jim Bakker played a Sleestak on one episode of the classic children's television show "Land of the Lost."

.) Many Dutch sailors in the 15th century spoke in a dialect noted for its extensive use of rhyme.

.) The "Midnight Ride of Paul Revere" was actually the Midnight Ride of WIlliam Dawes, Samuel Prescott and Paul Revere and of the three men who rode, Revere stopped in a tavern with his friends at one point and well, evaded being arrested by the British soldiers by slipping out the back while his two compatriots willingly were led away in chains and yet he is immortalized because his name was easier to rhyme.
