My Old Gang.



The 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) was formed at the beginning of World War Two, and has fought in almost every major conflict since that time. Beginning as an "Airborne" division with parachute and glider infantry in W.W.II, the 101st was transformed into "Airmobile" during Vietnam, and later into an "Air Assault" division.
The "Screaming Eagles" are perhaps the most recognized army division in the world; that reputation having been well earned at Normandy, Holland, and Bastogne during W.W.II... at Dak To, A Shau Valley, and Dong Ap Bia in Vietnam... as the "Lightning in the Storm" during the Gulf War... and now as one of the divisions that led the way during Operations in Afghanistan, and Iraq.
