...has anybody here ever heard of new york hard-core punk legends murphys law? i've known jimmy the vocalist, for like 20 years, and partied w/ murphys law all over europe, and shit, back in the day.(90-91) ....one time in berlin, we were playing in this WW2 bomb shelter, called the inferno club, and jimmy was trying to break these beer bottles on his head onstage, and was wailing himself in the head, hard as fuck, and the blood was spewing everywhere, and we were laughing soo hard, i almost pissed my pants, cause he didnt realize that european beer bottles are like twice as thick glass as american beer bottles! ..you can whip 'em down on the sidewalk, and sometimes they won't even break.
...anyway, we're playing w/ Murphys Law, Moral Minority, and channel 43, at alley katz in richmond on sunday, feb. 1st.

Not a war story, but I'll tell it to you. One time, we were supposed to see Murphy's Law at the Middle East in Boston. Waiting outside, we find out that they couldn't make it and we were bummed. So, the next time we go to see them, they kinda change their look (a lot more instrumental? you know, more trumpets and so). My friend gets so fucked up, that when they finish their set, she says to me, "guess they didn't show up again!" I could not believe it. I've been scared to mix the wrong drugs with booze for shows ever since.
I had no idea Voltaire was from Berkeley. Apparently, the SGLA peeps are going to see her next weekend at some club.
