records are pressed wax that have tracks goiung around them. the tracks are not flat, they have ridges and valleys. if youve ever seen anything that shows the frequency of a sound, kind of like this:
so the ridges on the record are a copy of that frequency. the needle on a record player travels over the ridges and sends that same exact frequency to the speakers.
