The ever changing life of Grace....*sigh*

I got a job as a tattoo apprentice up in the city, for those of you who don't know, tattooing is illegal here in oklahoma, but there are loop holes. So, I work at first amendmant tattoo, it's an actual clean and professional shop. The problem is, I won't be making any money aside from tips until I'm out on the floor tattooing...

The Kicker: My mom is a fickle, vain, bitch...."marry a doctor or a lawyer....be a realtor (which i did) be a nurse (which i tried) don't get tattoos, they make you ugly (her actual words, of course I have several tattoos) Buy a jag whenever your friends or enemies buy a caddy (which she did) Don't ever divorce because that's a nasty stigma to have on your record, just threaten the man your married to with money (which she does to my father) If you're not respectable, don't show your face."

I told my mom about my job and she told me I was no longer her daughter, she will no longer accept my calls, and told me that she was no longer going to help me with my house payments. I thought I would lose my house. I work 12 hours a day at the shop and have no time for a real job on the side, I thought about being a stripper...I had to do something. There was no way i would sacrafice my dream to tattoo...I called my mom and thanked her for being "such an outstanding parent." My dad told me he hates my mom, and plans on leaving her soon...my mom has been trying to change my dad and myself into good die heard christian/republican/yuppies for all our lives. My friends came to the rescue and are helping me out. They won't let my strip, because god knows, my morals wouldn't allow my to love myself and have a job like that. Even my roomates mom bought me gas and gave me money for food.

So things will be fine, but my mother's life is about to change. Because she thinks she has the upper hand...she doesn't think I can afford this house on my own...But when the bills are paid and I tell her to fuck off, that she's no longer my mother on MY terms, when my dad leaves her and she's all alone....I can't fucking wait. She fucking needs and deserves so harsh a reality check.
