A blog like I've never had before
I am finishing Memorial Day right now
Many Memorial Day I've spent as any American should
I've stood in silence in front of the Vietnam War Memorial Wall on Memorial Day, watched a crying family member of the fallen make a tracing out of thousands of names
I've stood in awe during the changing of the guard at the tomb of the unknown soldier on Memorial Day
I've stood in horror, in absolute tears as i looked upon the miles of graves in Arlington Cemetary
I've watched parades, I've marched in parades, I've set off fireworks, anything a patriotic American would do
I've never had a Memorial Day like i just had, nothing in life could prepare an individual to deal with what i dealt with tonight. I deal with crazy, violent, disturbed, tramatized, hurt people everyday, yet nothing
I spent this evening with two friends from work
Dodd and Sanchez(my twin lol)
We drank, we had a blast, we goofed off
Then came the serious part of the evening, Dodd has already spent one tour fighting in Irag, and is just a few months away from tour number two
How do you stand in front of a person who has physical scares all over their face from fighting in a war and talk about Memorial Day? I've never looked at someone I work with everday, who I trust my own safety with, and considered them a veteran, but he is. To look him in the eye while he talks about watching innocent people die just because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time, crying the whole time, knowing that he killed people, he pulled the trigger and people died.
How do you comfort that person??????
It was your job? Your life or theirs?
What do you say to them when they know they are about to have to do it again?!?!?
What do you say to them when they tell you about the horrific nightmares they have?
WHAT DO YOU SAY TO SOMEONE WHO CAN LOOK YOU IN THE EYE AND SAY "I'LL GIVE MY LIFE, I'LL DIE SO THAT YOU CAN GOOF OFF AND DRINK BEER LIKE WE ARE TODAY" HOW DO YOU RESPOND TO THAT?!?!?!?
All I know to do is support my brother and give him the best memories I can before he leaves.
So we had a fuckin' great night tonight, just him and another buddy from work. The soldier (Dodd) and my twin (Daniel) and I fuckin' rocked Memorial Day out
Dodd goofing off the computer, looking at many of you sexy ladies

Dodd and Daniel looking at Suicide Girls

We all rocked out to Metallica and played air guitar on my bass lol
Here's Daniel

Here is Dodd

Here is Dodd playing half of a guitar and me with my bass lol

Then Daniel and Dodd wrestled around, total weight beat military training lol
but they were drunk lol

Then Dodd and I started bonging beers lol

Then we all showed off our right arm tattoo's lol
Corvette and Godsmack

Corvette and Metallica

Godsmack and Metallica

As far as I'm concerned this was the best and most patriotic Memorial Day ever
I got to entertain and create memories for a real American hero
At the end of the day i think no matter how we remember the fallen American hero's we should all smile knowing a simple fact that was stated long ago...
"Day of Judgment, God is calling
On their knees the war pigs crawling
Begging mercy for their sins
Satan, laughing, spreads his wings
Oh Lord yeah!"
OZZY FUCKIN' SAID IT BEST
