OK, so it's been forever since I wrote anything here. Mainly because my membership expired and with so much going on, I just didn't think to renew it. Someone did that for me (MWAH! You thoughtful thing!), so I figure I owe you all an update...

I'm pretty proud of myself. Not only do I have my own place (related news in a minute), I've gotten a promotion and I'm going back to school in a few weeks. And now, onward, to the best news ever...

In December, via a networking website which shall remain nameless, I met this amazing girl... we texted back and forth until New Year's Day, when she decided to ask me on a date. It was love at-- well, not first sight, although I have to admit my jaw hit the floor when I saw her--but pretty damn close. We went to Gameworks and she proceeded to kick my ass at every video game in the building (except Tetris). There is nothing sexier than a hot girl leaning in close to you while slaughtering zombies, btw.

Since that night, we have spent exactly one night apart (and it sucked so bad, we didn't repeat the experience). In March, she moved in with me, and about a month ago we moved away from the boys and got our first apartment (which is HUGE and beautiful). And a couple of weeks ago I came home from my Wicca group to find the house full of candles and the bath full of bubbles and rubber duckies. (Perhaps that sounds odd, but I am absolutely crazy about rubber duckies and have a huge collection.) There was a little tiny ducky in there with a ring strapped to his back!

It's true! I'm getting married!
