I sent out probably a dozen emails to postings on Craiglist Thursday night. I spent today bouncing around Somerville, looking at 3 places, all of varing quality. The first one, that I got out of bed for, was gross! Looked like the floor hadn't been mopped in 5 years and the door was in a weird entryway that prevented a normal entry, like opening the door. Not sure how one would get furniture in! The secnd one was really nice, though at the top of my price range, and I am going to meet the roomie who is staying, and possibly the one leaving in July, tomorrow after work. Hopful about this one! Wish me luck! The last one was OK. I would be living with 2 guys, a girl, and another TBA. One of the reasons the 2 girls are leaving is it is a messy househole. The place wasn't too bad, nice room, good location. I could put up with mess for a summer. It was cheap, too, at $380. Not a bad second choice. The good one the girl wants to move in 2 weeks, so that would be cool. I could just bring stuff there instead of storage then there.
A trip to the storage unit was accomplished. Weeded out some stuff to give to housemate that is staying, broke something else, and restacked to try to get as much as possible back in. Put my first load of books in, too. *sigh* Won't be seeing them for a while. I still have one whole bookshelf (which is mostly DVDs and random junk) and just over half of another to pack. They are the big, heavy books. All the novels are a snap and done. Have more boxes and grabbed a roll of tape from work, since I used up all that was here last night. Going to make a few calls and se if there is anything going on fun. If not, then a-packing-I-will-go.
Thanx to everyone who is wishiing me well. Want to get this done with ASAP so I can focus on packing. *sigh* Did I mention I hate moving?
