Day 1-Later Skater!
Get In the van!!!Yeah...I know I got "responsibilities" Well guess what..I've finished all the shows @ the space,I've filmed a week of bmx action and the bar owes me one or two so fuck it..I'm outta here!So I flew out to Pittsburgh today to meet Big Business,The Blood Brothers and The plot to blow up the eiffel tower.I arrived a day early so I could explore pittsburgh a lil and then meet up later.So I checked myself into a Holiday inn @ Green tree just outside of Pitts.Little did I know I stumbled upon the hottest singles night in Pittsburgh.......uuuhhh....well yeah it was for 35-70...this was a little creepy..it was like a high school dance for your grandma....yeah..weird..Okay time for bed.the next day I decided to go checkout the warhol museum and walk around a bit since I would be sitting in a van for weeks.I've never seen warhol's works in person and it was quite impressive.next I just wondered around and tryed some local pizza and had a beer.I did stumble acroos something I've never seen before though,it was a claw machine filled w/ live lobsters.If you caught one they would cook it for yah....interesting..okay off to the show.So I arrived at Mr.Smalls just on time.the venue was allright an old church turned into venue..kinda neat..they still had the stained glass and all original wood work and stuff.Yep..load the van in the rain and off to find a place to sleep.We ended up in Squirrel Hill at a friends old apartment that they just moved out of and still had the keys too.So we stumbled down the stairs down to the local watering holes.Pickles and Yesterdays..ahhh..local..pubs..we walk into yesterday's and imeditaly a local calls us fags....maybe my mustache..maybe coady's tight shirt...maybe our dashing good looks..well whatever..next he comes over and buys us a beer and a shots of Jagermeister...hmmmm....trying to get the fags drunk..huh?He then exsplains how he dresses like a wigger but listens to slayer and it's all good and were cool in his book.....greaaat...this coming from a guy who is wearing more gold than Mr.T and has a shirt that reads Jesus is Coming..get on your knee's...nice..So back to drinking at the bar that looks like an old cafateria w/beer to go.The nice part was all beer a dollar and all shot two dollars...Jager Ho!!
Day 2-Oh no..Ohio!
whelp...drivey drivey..to Cleveland..I was going to try and creep off and do some touristy nerd stuff but diddn't have time too...so we just ordered pizza and sat at the club.We were trying to figure out what to do the next day for are day off.We had some friends of ours playing the next night w/ bright eyes and we were looking forward to maybe seeing them and possibly going to the New York Dolls as well...but while I was mannning the merch a guy named shawn offered us another show in Akron..hmmmm...So Jared and Coady decided to keep on rocking and we drove to Akron.About a half hour out of Cleveland...we watched Smokey and the Bandit and crashed out for the night.The next Morning a friend of Shawns offered us free reign of his parents Country Club...ahhh ohhhh Cannonball!So we put on our wind breakers and buckled up for a serious round of golf.....wow...I managed to hit the turf further than the ball!So after tearing up the track..ohh..I mean Course..w the carts..and our clubs...we were off to the Lime Spider in Downtown Akron.Allright whiskey let the goodtimes Roll!!!
Day 3-Buffalo a go go
This is were I'm at now driving to Buffalo trying to not get sick by writing in this journal while we drive...our big concern is to vaccum the van so as to not attract any attention when we cross the border tommorrow......who knows what kinda paraphernalia you'll find in the carpet?Okay...so we drove all around Buffalo just trying to find one of those damn 50 cent Vacum machines.We finally found one and detailed the shit out of the van..it is now one sweet ride..kinda..Tonights show was pretty mellow I think we all got kinda beat last night while sailing the whiskey river..We might checkout Niagra Falls tomorrow then off to Toronto!I look forward to some canadian adventures..eh!Time to hit the hay bails..early day tomorrow...as soon as I figure out how to post pics I'll throw some up from the road..
