This world is rather intense
Everyone needs a close friend
One to share our interpretations
To be able to learn something from eachother
To have feelings for them

Being single works for me
And I love it
Every morning I wake up next to my best friend
I dont worry about some prince out of a fairy tale to sweep me off

I feel at peace with myself,
I dont worry
I am no longer a victim to some guy's alterior motive


But I do ponder about how shy I am
Its hard to be affectionate towards someone so beautiful and perfect
I am a victim of society
I am constantly battling with thoughts of guilt, self doubt, suspicion, and fear of rejection

But then the most unexpected nights
Are the ones that give me hope
When we were so drunk that nothing else mattered.
