No, I don't usually talk about music much. I do not have a prolific collection of music I listen to or know.
I'm not as into it as most.
Music, for me, mostly reminds me of people, places, times. Some songs remind me of sertain people. Some songs remind me of certain places in my life.
Some of the songs that stir me may be hokey...but they remind me of the a happy time, surrounded by fun happy people - and whats bad about that?
I am in a retreat and repair stage. I'm in the process of eliminating all my security blankets (figuratively), cutting my safety nets, pushing back the lifelines. I need to stand on my own two feet. Be strong for me, by myself. I don't think I can do that here. It may seem to be a a stupid decision - intentionally pushing away the people that want to help you - but how else am I EVER going to be ok as me, by myself?
Have you ever stopped to look at yourself through other people's eyes? If so...how did you feel about what you saw of yourself?
I've never really done it before, until lately.
I'm touched, amazed, flattered...uncomfortably so sometimes.
Am I too hard on myself, or do people just not really know me?
I like the way I see myself through all your eyes. I want to be that person you see me as.
Ok, and I'm ALL over the place tonight. Mr Peepers, my trunkmonkey, has been stationary for way too long. Check out my photos folder. He used to travel the worlld, it's time he does again. Is anyone willing to have a stuffed monkey mailed to them, take him out to see the fsights, take his picture, then mail him back? (I'll pay the shipping)
I'm weird, but this sort of thing amuses me. He's been to Disneyland twice, Hawaii, Mexico, Branson, and a few other odd places. He even sat on the Selena memorial in Corpus Christi
