some people might say i have an internet presence. (
tim) in the past it has amused and horrified me at times. sometimes it brings me in touch with amazing people i wouldn't know otherwise and sometimes it brings me in touch with scary people i wouldn't know otherwise. recently i have seriously considered removing these links to me. bits of information that i have released into the cosmos. not the whole puzzle, just pieces. enough to intrigue and enlighten and even obsess some.
this morning in fact i received an IM from a man in ontario. he wasn't lewd or suggestive in any way. apparently there is someone using "blasfemme" as a screen name. he had supposedly chatted with her in a chat room. funny because i have used that name for over 15 years as a pen name/persona type thing in my writing and have never encountered another. i did see a website with "the coolest screen names" on it and blasfemme was there. that was earlier this year. anyway, we had a lovely conversation. i am always cautious and even suspicious of impromptu contact online. he could easily be anyone. so again i rethink my online presence.
