hello sweeties.
bee-yoo-ti-ful day here. i have been outside for the largest part of it. ate lunch with anomalous and cruised into uptown for some jesus death day shopping.

got a phone call from an ex boyfriend. i knew he was back in town, a friend of mine had run into him and given him my number. i went out with this guy when i was 26 and he was 21, or so i thought. we dated for almost a year and lived together for 10 months. we were at his mom's for mother's day and i accidentally discovered that he was not 21, but in fact only 17!!! signal end of relationship....

anyway, he called and wants to see me. he is 26 now. i haven't seen him since i was pregnant with my last son who is now 5. he's coming over in 2 hours and we are gonna hang out for awhile. i'm not sure what to make of it. we had a very passionate yet dysfunctional relationship. he was mentally unstable and once i found out he was only 17 a lot more things made sense. he broke up with me on the 4th of july. that year, independence day had a whole new meaning. i called him the following year on the 4th to wish him a happy "unniversary" and to thank him for breaking up with me. it really was the best thing he could have done. i only got better from that point on.

so, this should be an odd evening.

update: ok, i survived that. i stand corrected, he is now 27 and as we chatted we deduced he was 17 and i was 25 (yes i learned math today) AND i learned why i am glad i haven't had him in my life for all these years!
