Yeah another "date" to flake on me....I've known this girl for the better part of 3 years and we've both sat and bitched about flaky people!! I still went hiking alone.....for a little under 10 miles....in the rain....fuckin freezing but at least I have CHIPOTLE!!!
I was inspired on this short hike. Probably a good idea that I went alone. While I was checking out a waterfall I noticed something. How the rocks cling to the ground so they wont be swept by the rushing water of the fall...all that tension...effort....and yet they go no where.....don't really "do anything". Then I saw a leaf floating down the river...then over the falls....how free it was....able to shift its course....if it hit an obstacle it gently floated around it.....the river is like life....I want to be a leaf rather than a rock. I want to flow....and go places...I need to stop clinging to my past and my own dogmas and be open to the future and it's possibilities....
