blameshift

So Asheville was cool this weekend. I hung out with J-Rod and Johnny Wang, and we drank lots of beer and smoked lots of cigarettes and shot the shit about our current lives. I'm afraid J-Rod won't approve of the girlfriend, seeing as how once he heard about the girl he had 2 responses: "Why do you have a girlfriend?" and "Are you fucking this girl yet?". Really I just want my closest friend to like my girlfriend, cause I hate tension between us. Hopefully he will like her, because his absolute favorite activity is to make fun of me, and the girlfriend seems to like that too.
The 4th was great. As I told a friend of mine, Johnny and I got paid $300 to play guitar, get drunk and watch fireworks on the beach. The girlfriend was my DD, so she was there the whole time, and she loved watching me play, or at least she said she did. She keeps asking me to play Jeff Buckley's "Lover, You Should've Come Over" for her when we're on the phone or when we're together and I've got the guitar. Any ways, the gig was fun and we ended up closing everything with "Jane Says" and me with almost no voice at the end.
Today marks one month with the girlfriend. It has been a good month, seeing as how I gave her her first orgasm (so she says) and I have actually found a girl who is interested in the fact that I play guitar and asks me to do so. It also marks the longest actual girlfriend I've ever had. So now this feels like putting out the sophmore album, I have to give more than I did the first take. I have to make sure not to fuck up big time and do something to really hurt this girl, cause I do really like her. To be truthful, I don't even know if I want to take her virginity, because I don't want to be the bastard who breaks her heart. But I know that pain is an inevitable thing, so I guess I'm kind of on the fence. Damn, G....
