I've been in training all week long and usually when I'm not out working in the field this drives me crazy! So needless to say I was not what you would call eager to begin this week at work. Well the week is almost over and I have to admit this class was actually very interesting. I was told I was going to an interview techniques class, which although would ultimately be very helpful doesn't sound exciting.

Well we started this class on monday and I have learned so much. The biggest surprise to me was that it hasn't spent much time on the different interview techniques. Instead, the majority of time in class is spent analyzing written and audio statements. I have been amazed at how much someone who is trying to be deceptive reveals when you know what to look for.

It is amazing how a change in the use of pronouns or even a lack of pronouns can tip you off to deception. We have been using statements from convicted murders who eventually ended up telling the truth so we can compare what we find to the truth.

I could probably talk about this all night as it is pretty amazing the things people do and how these things are pretty universal with everyone.

Anyway, the weekend is nearly upon us and I only have to work a half a day tomorrow so thats awesome. Hopefully I'll make it to phoenix saturday for Hell City, but who know i have been in Phoenix for like the past three weekends it s getting kind of expensive.

So hopefully I'll be at Hell City and see some friends from here and of course some beautiful SGs.
