Why does a simple act of kindness have to be so damned complicated?

I asked a friend to deliver a peace offering to a guy who doesn't much care for me. I told his girlfriend (my now former best friend) about this. She now says that because her boyfriend dislikes the friend I asked to deliver said item, I need to have person 1 deliver it to person 2 so they can give it to it's intended recipient. Just so that she doesn't have to deal with angsty, pissy boyfriend.

You know...it's people like him that I really don't miss about the damned club....I only have limited connections that I see that I can say "here, give this to this person" and trust that it'll arrive safely...but now I have to play this roundabout jr high game of telephone or notepassing in order to disguise who delivered what...

And to make matters worse, the fact that I'm even attempting to make peace with this guy is probably still going to cause him to be an angsty prick...

Wow...it's kinda like being fucked in the ass with a broken bottle....

And to make matters worse, I just feel too sick to go to the necto tonight...blah
