working for yourself can be a double edged sword. on one hand, i can wear, listen to & smoke whatever i want while working at home. on the other hand, the manager at mcdonald's made twice what i did in 2003.
one of the best jobs i have ever had was washing cars for a rental car company. got to be outdoors all day & when 5pm rolled around, i could forget about it until the next day. most people are glad to shrug off that responsibility & go home to their tv.
now i have to try and be a self motivator, which is not my natural inclination. the entire business either succeeds or fails based upon my ability to push this lazy ass forward. i do enjoy this line of work quite a bit, but even your favorite hobby becomes a job when you -have- to do it every day.
so my business plans for 2004 are to buy a used cargo van, get my website operational & increase my client base.
personally, i am continuing on my self improvement plan. 30 pounds dropped so far, 40 left to go. exercise will commence again as soon as i am over this flu/ear infection.
additionally, i am trying to shed my baggage. the woman i've loved for so long doesn't love me & i cannot spend even one more year waiting & hoping that she will. a shame, but it is the truth i did not want to acknowledge.
