If you didn't know, as most of you wouldn't, I am on probation for * dat da da DA!* Driving While Intoxicated. 
I have a little less than a year(until next October) left. I also have a huge orange bumper sticker on the back of my car, as a condition of probation, that reads, "the operater of this moter vehicle is on community supervision for DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED please report alcohol consumption at 903-5**-****". How embarasing is that! It's like the scarlet letter, only orange! Oh well, you play, you pay, as some people might put it. But still Smith county probation is so rediculous. Even if you are not on prob. for an alcohol or drug related offense, the same conditions of prob. apply.
Such as(and i quote):
1. Obey the law ( commit no offense against the laws of this state or of any other state or the United States) and inform your Supervision officer within 48 hours if arrested by a law enforcement official.
2. Do not associate with any person who has been convicted of a crime, or who is charged with a felony offense and stay out of all bars, taverns, lounges, dance halls, pool halls, liquer stores, honky tonks, beer joints, restauraunts that serve alcohol and other similar places.
3. Do not use, consume, nor possess any alcoholic beverage, marijuana, narcotic substance, controlled substance, or dangerous drug at any time except as prescribed by a medical doctor.
These are only a few (and the most rediculous if you are not on probation for drugs or alcohol if you ask me [ well the first is like -NO SHIT!-]) of the general rules of probation in Smith Co.
