I saw Good Night, and Good Luck tonight at the Picturehouse in Cambridge, after work.

In short, I thought it was a very commendable and pertinent dramatization of the McCarthy era. David Strathairn was supurb as Ed Murrow. And I enjoyed Clooney's intimate directorial style.

It was startling to see the parallels between then and now. Only now the menace which threatens our capitalist society isn't communism, but religious fanaticism. It's truly horrific to watch as our governments create a climate of fear, that is primarily designed to subdue the electorate.

I think the tagline encapsulates the consensus shared by those sane individuals who're able to see through the lies, quite perfectly.

"We will not walk in fear of one another"

Indeed.
