I am crushed by the pain as it all hits home,
on this chilly fall morning, God I feel so alone,
my mind keeps replaying the last time we talked,
we were all so happy, but now it all fell apart,
I want so badly to change it, if to just say goodbye,
so I write for you this poem as I sit here and cry,
So hard to accept this, it just can't be real,
I can't find the words to express how I feel,
You were still so young with so much to give,
such a bright future with so much life left to live,
but death came to take you like a thief in the night,
it just seems so unfair and now nothing feels right,
I wish that I had told you, before this tragic end,
I hope you know I love you man, as family and a friend,
I wish I would have been there so I could take your place,
but most of all I wish for you the love of Heaven's grace
