I noticed something.
when a lot of girls get tattoos (this in my area-Northern Maryland, Newark, De) they'll get reall small ones that no one can see sothey can say they have tattoos.
Wow..isn't it great that putting something permenant on your body is cool for the in crowd? I know that is has been for soem time now, but getting tattoos forthe sake of fitting in, really doesn't make any sense. My tats are who I am, myown indiviual taste, no one elses. My tats are tailored for me.
When i got my arm done, there was this girl who was waiting her turn. She was sayign to the girl who came with her saying "I dont 'think I shoudl do it, I'm not sure. Oh well, it's so cool to have a tattoo , so I'll get it"
i wanted so bad to say, "Get a tattoo because YOU want to and it's something YOU are ready to do, not because it's trendy. You dont' just take it off when your'e tired of it"
but then I realized that it would be pointless to say anything.
another question..is there such things as masculine or feminine tattoos? I ask because this girl was looking at my tats and asking me why didnt' I have any girlish tattoos?
"Girlish tattoos"?
If i wanted a naked chick on me, then I'm putting a naked chick on me. If a guy wanted to put Hello Kitty on his arm, so be it. I didn't know that I needed only "girlie" tattoos on me..

My mother-in-laws birthday is today. She's 52 years old. My mom is 47. Andrew and I are teh same age. Funny isn't it. Andrew is firstborn and I'm the third of our four kids. Hmmmm
My birthday is THURSDAY. So i will be sad if Idont' get Birthdy wishes from my peoples...

Your journal subject reminded me of the SNL commercial skit of the "tattoo remover" and started to giggle, because it would be all these people you talk about getting such a product!
I personally have never had any big want for a tattoo, I just have never conected with an image that I would want etched on my body.
My GF though has this maiden un dressing tattoed down her whole right back, that is what you call a "cool" tattoo!
