So last night I went to Exhale, which for those of you in Northampton, is like Divas. I had a suprisingly good time, ended up dancing with some gay guy on box (I've never downed a long island iced tea so quickly), and then talking to this girl until 4 in the morning.

Connections are strange. The important ones for me are the really deep connections that bridge the chasm of loneliness or disconnect from our world. But those connections are difficult to make. Maybe they depend on the inroads built during conversations about movies, music, and other superficials. Do I focus too much on the more substantive connections, so that I discard the more surface interactions before they become deeper? Or are there only a very few people who those connections can exist with, and the connection is immediate?

I love living in abq and working my job. So far its been fantastic.

I hope everyone else is having an excellent day. Seeing as how I'm turning 26 today, I'm curled up at my house with a book, trying to ignore the world. But tonight I'm going over to a coworkers to have dinner with a few people.

Man, Happy Birthday. Sorry I missed it. Hope you had a good time at dinner.

Remember that bridges aren't just placed in the harbor- they need to be built. It's the same thing with EZ: he's expecting love at first sight, which really only happens in movies.
I wasn't in love with Angel at first- I let Lily try to hook her up with EZ. It took some time, but now it's awesome. Or I could have dismissed her as another MoHo, and I'd be alone now.
Those intense connections we made in college are great, but it definitely twists the way some of us see the world. Those took time, too. We didn't really hang out until your 4th year.
