So as my previous post alluded to, I did not get into the BFA program. 3 of my friends from class did, though, and it was tough to come to terms with it. Thankfully I have many friends in the program, and they sorted shit out for me and helped put everything in perspective.

This last Friday night was the ABBEDAM Cabaret. It's a night at a local hall booked to fundraise for next years' ABBEDAM festival (ABBEDAM is an acronym combining the eligible programs: BA, BEd, MA), and involved drinking, music, and performances.
I chose to go up and perform different clips from the many plays I'd worked on in my first year. Both to thank everyone I had worked with and to show myself and others how far I had come. I was great.
The last day of classes was Wednesday, and I have 4 finals on the 19th, and 25th, 26th, and 27th of April. I will have to start studying right fuckin' away... as I need good marks in the classes I have the possibility of getting good marks in, and balance those I will hopefully just pass.
NextFest isn't auditioning this year, which really kind of sucks, but such is life, although I really wanted to audition and act in my first show outside of school this year. I'll have to save it for the Fringe later this summer. I'm pretty excited for the whole thing. I'll still send my resume and headshot to Stiv just in case any of the directors are in a bind.
