So, the trip to Oregon was very nice.
We went to this incredible sea cave full of sea lions. There are pictures at trashe's spot.

Being back was hard for a minute, school and work, both classes too, in the first day.

It's okay now. My depraved monster of a boss was off but returned today. I just had a long, boring talk with him.

I've been reading some cool books. We picked up a few in Portland for the trip back--kind of went crazy and bought a few. The first I read was part I of a series called Serenity Falls by James A. Moore. Witches and sexual depravity, thank you very much.
Then, it was on to the current read, The Darkness that Comes Before by R. Scott Bakker. Bearded lunatics with broadswords (like me). I love it.
trashe picked up a few too, we like to swap them out eventually, so I'll update on the goodlyness or badlyness thereafter.

I really bombed my midterm in my grad class, but all is not lost. I'll recover, but no lofty grade in the end, I'm afraid. It's funny, I have two classes, one easy and one hard. I learn nothing much in the first, even though it's an enjoyable teacher, and the second I learn loads but struggle. Thee old axiom. We ain't squat without a humbling challenge (I guess I made that up and it ain't old, um...anyways...it's still some general idea, right?).

Will see Alexis & SeanieFresh tonight. Sean is cooking up dinner.
