I was at the book store today and saw that Jim Butcher had a newish book out. I had to chuckle at this. As I wandered over to the comic/graphic novel section, I also noticed that Jim Butcher had adapted the Dresden Files for comic book purposes. At this I just had to call my brother and we shared a good hearty laugh about this. Jim Butcher grew up around the corner from us growing up when we were little whippersnappers in Kansas City, MO. He is my brother's age and they used to walk to the bus together growing up. My brother thought he was a little odd. Now he's made a fortune off of his sci-fi novels and my brother is working a 9-5 office job. At the end of our conversation all my brother could say was a giant FML. Yeah, I would agree. Kudos to you, Jim Butcher, and to all your amazingness that came out of crappy suburb of Kansas City.
