Lan (former member Oryon) and I just got back from GI Joe: Rise of Cobra...it was AWESOME!!! It was a great fun summer popcorn eating movie. Chalk full of nods to the GI Joe franchise from the Cartoon, Comic Books and the Original 12 inch figures. Cat fights, Ninja fights, kid ninja fights, Red & Blue laser fights. I withdrawl anything negative I said when Joseph Gordan Levitt (spelling) was cast as Cobra Commander because he was a BADASS!!!
I cant wait to see GI Joe: Rise of Cobra again and again and again. I'm shocked at how good it was. The pacing of the film didnt slow down a bit and the editing was very cool. Everything I loved about the GI Joe cartoons as a kid was in the movie. This felt like a GI Joe movie and I eagerly await the sequel. I'm serious...if you grew up watching GI Joe or played with the figures like I did then you need to see this!!!
