I wish it was easy to find a job. Things aren't working out for me any longer for the radio station I work at currently. Things just keep piling on aka adding draws to the camel's back. The latest: I helped some friends of mine who do women's roller derby get advertising on my station, even got them a live broadcast from the pre-game party and post game party. When they filled the paper work out they wrote MY name in the talent request box....so to my surprise I'm NOT doing any of it NONE the other guy on my station is doing ALL of it (there are only 2 of us). So here is another word for word conversation:
"You're welcome for all the talent fee and remote tis weekend" I said very sarcastically
"How do you mean?" he said
"The roller derby stuff you are doing this weekend, those are my friends that I help get adverts and a remote for"-me
"Oh...yeah it's like...I'll get you a extra hour this weekend in addition to board opping"
Yeah he will be making $500, me $45
Dont get me wrong. I'm very thankful I have a job BUT how about some FUCKING respect, how about a "Hey good job on that commercial", "Good job on air". Especially considering in the 4 years I've worked here I have never asked for a raise, taken 2 weeks of vacation in 4 years, NEVER said "NO" to any task I've been given. Never have I asked about being made full time...yeah for 4 years I've been working part time...no benefits.
So while other people in the building work less hours and do less work, they make more and get all the fucking adulations in the world.
Not sure how much more I can take before I snap back

Dude. What is your phone number? We left the zoo at about 8:20. I figured you went to the MollyRogers thing though.
