Ha Ha Cumulus broadcasting, its going to take a lot more then silly threats of me being transferred to mess with me!

What I meant by that was as a late April Fool's Joke my boss, our main boss and our corporate boss (in Atlanta from a conference call) pulled me into the office this morning. The following is a transcript of what was said:

Jim: Hey can we talk to you in Dan's office?

Me: Sure.

Jim: Ok, Val are you on the phone?

Val: Yes I'm here is (my real name) their?

Dan: Yeah hes here.

(Jim shuts door)

Dan: Ok (my real name) the reason we pulled you in here was to talk about your progress with Pirate. We know your ratings are the best in the building and even better then some of the Orlando stations but currently we un happy with your work.

Me: Ah...okay?

Jim: And we realize that you have a contract. So what we've decided to do is transfer you to another market.

Me: Yeah no! I'm not going anywhere!

Val: It says in your contract we can transfer you anywhere I, Jim or Dan see fit. So legally you have to go.

Me: No offense but fuck this shit...(I started to roll out of the office)

Dan: Look (my real name) this is the way it has to be!

Me: After every fucking thing I've done here, thats it huh? So where am I going?

Val: We planned to send you to the opening in Anchorage Alaska

(Couple moments of silence)

Me: Since when do we have a station in Alaska?

Val: A while now.

Me: (Busting them on their joke) No we dont I know for a fucking fact we dont have a station in Alaska.

Jim: How?

Me: Hello I have to click on the state to check my work E-Mail!

Val: Damn I forgot about that!

Dan: When you got us...damn we thought it would be funny to get you back from last year (I'll let you know what I did last year)...I cant believe we didn't get you!

Me: What did you expect me to do, beg to stay?

Jim: Maybe.

(small talk about stuff and it was done)

Any ways they thought this would be there revenge from last year when I coverved Dan's office in post it notes and Jim's in newspaper.

Yes this type of thing happens often in the radio business. And if you were wondering, No I dont listen the the station its kind of funny but I'm very anti-radio.
