It's Monday yo, and another week has came and gone. So check it out. For anyone who lives in the greater NYC area, I'm throwing a party on August 17th at my lounge in Brooklyn. My friend Jack (who also cooked on the 4th of July Party) is making Ribs, Rice, and Beans, and spinning Old School Rockers beat all night long, only using 45's, which means at one point I'll be on the 1's and 2's dropping some soul.
It's on a Sunday August 17th and will be off the hook, if you can make it, be there, it's only 7dollars a plate and there will be 3 dollar drafts till 8pm, it will start around 4:30p, so be there. I nwould love to see some of you all there and hanging out.
On another note, I just started a Monday night Jazz series with a sick quintet at the lounge beginning in August, come and check it out. Forget that sleeply time Jazz shit, this stuff rocks, and is very tight, some of the best work happening in the city right now.
