As a kid, I had so many aspirations. Like almost too many haha.
First I wanted to be a princess and marry my mum.. After that I also wanted to be an astronaut, go with the police, be a vet, a doctor, and so on.But after consideration I realized those were not the professions I would be building a career out of.
I've always been a pretty artsy person, ever since I was a tiny kid to be honest. So I went to art school, after studying Latin and Greek. I did studies to become an architect, then I wanted to become a photographer.. I never really knew what direction I should go to because every other month I was interested in different things.
After a while I really started worrying about me and my future (as a 20 yo, I know it sounds like a bad joke) so I gave myself some space and time to think. I tried a lot of different things in a short amount of time, to somehow test myself? Curious af to the outcome of course. Eventually I came to the realization that I've had a shitty life, been through a lot of bad situations and I wanted to do something with that. I've seen friends get killed, lost people who were close to me, been hurt very badly, ... I wanted to turn the negative into something that could be positive for once.
I now work as a housekeeper for a very big family I only have love and admiration for. They have a lot of kids and they trust me taking care of them which gave me the confident boost I needed so badly. At the end of the day I always get to see their thankful faces and get so many lovely responses which makes me love the work I do.
As for the creative side that's still left of me (and very present!!) .. In September I'm going back to studying again, combined with my job. I'm aspiring to be an official certified Make-Up Artist. Not to only put glitter and highlighter on people's faces but also to find a deeper meaning within. For example, I want to help people who suffer from bad skin diseases or people with a lot of scarring. I want to give people love and that little push to boost their confidence. Because everyone deserves to feel good about themselves. <3
