Don't just tell yourself. Believe it. Understand it. Words are noises cataloged into our subconscious as categories. To have the appropriate understanding of the said words, one must feel the feelings of the syllables, gives us the direction as to how we should input said definitions.
Pretty much, saying to yourself "It's going to be okay" will mean jack shyt if you do not understand or believe in it yourself.

But if I were to believe in a being different than my own being, how could I possibly fully understand it?
By accepting it for what it is and then learning about it! Take people, for example. A long time ago, humans believed that mentally ill people were "insane" no matter what they did, and locked them up and imprisoned them for years upon years.
Now, humans have studied up on the human mental condition and even though humans may not have everything correct of the human mind or at least discovered that "special observer", we have the means of knowing when a person is mentally ill and how to cure it.
The same with animals and plants, the lands and the oceans. There is a large area of the Universe to explore and to swirl all this information into a compact answer... whew! But we have the opportunity to learn that! And we can understand the nature (Of God/Gods/Godess/Godesses/Universal Construct/Popcorn) one day.
Having a simple mind is no excuse for not being able to stretch it.
and txs for the compliments!! .>.o

See, I get it. I'm not a beautiful or unique snowflake. I'm not even a slightly-out-of-the-ordinary snowflake. I'm not a snowflake at all! In fact, I'm more like the trodden upon ground that, unacknowledged, supports all the beautiful and unique snowflakes, letting them rant and rave and go on and on and on about their problems. Of course, they're never interested in what *I*...

Even if we know that stove is hot, we like to remember the pain just in case we see the same oven again, we do not want to forget so it never happens again, etc. etc.
Just continue fighting and you'll be alright
I think I have some "revealing" photos scattered about in internet-land, but they weren't really serious. I was not being "judged" by my bod or how I displayed myself (Even if the girl wanted to see "it"). SG Member Reviews is what one member said "Popularity Contest"
Nudity is natural and should be viewed as equal as clothing on a summer day.
That pit in your stomach? That is just the adrenaline rush of "I can't believe I did that!" and later down the road, you'll be able to tell others "Yeah, I posted some pics of myself online. Wow, what a choice that was..."
