So this will be the third time I attempt to write this blog. I am hoping I don't have to again. I'm writing this on my phone so it takes forever! So my cat was sick. She kept trying to pee everywhere. When I say trying I mean nothing was coming out. I figured she had an uti. I ended up taking her to an emergency vet one night close to midnight. They tried to do a urinalysis but couldn't get any urine out of her bladder. This worried me a bit. The vet gave me antibiotics anyway and told me that if she doesn't get better to bring her back. My cat is pretty smart so she figured out that she would get the meds after I fed her. She ran and hid each time. It was a liquid medicine that smelled like Pepto. The whole vet visit cost me 150$. Luckily I had a check from my dad that I had gotten for Christmas I was holding onto for an emergency. I guess this was the emergency! Excuse my tops and run-on sentences. I am trying not to delete this one. If I do I just give up on writing a blog. She is doing a lot better. I am so grateful. I knew she had to have been miserable and in pain. It was tough to watch her go through that.
In other news I have been reading voraciously. I joined oyster books.com. It is like Netflix but with books. So far I've read brain on fire, dr sleep, memoirs aren't fairytales, scars from the memoirs, Tampa, out of my mind, bedlam and one other one that I can't remember the name of. It's too bad since it was one of my favorites. I also read tenth of December for our makeshift SG book club pick this month. Oh and a short story called the killing tree. All these books were within three weeks. I told you I had been reading like a madwoman. I've always read super fast. My boyfriend teases me and calls me mrs. Reed. He is a character in criminal minds that reads like five books a day or something crazy like that.
I also got some cool fan art today too.
Oh and I had a wonderful time with my boyfriend on Valentine's day. We went out for sushi and went to the Renaissance fair on Sunday. I got some chocolate covered strawberries delivered. Yum yum! So anyway hope all is well for all my friends here on SG. Here is a picture of my cat and my butt.
