It's off of 119th and Pulaski. There's a flyer for it on the band's website. My band's name is Smuggling Molasses.

I live around 47th and Halsted, I'll probably drive up to 35th street and jump on the redline there. they tore the projects down over by comisky park, so it's a little safer over that way, and it's also like 4 blocks away from a police station.

So is this just a general feeling of fear or is it related to something specific? I've been hiding out in my apartment all weekend being a dumb-ass and playing video games, so the outside world hasn't been bothering me at all.....yet.....

i don't want a new bestest friend! i want the one i have now, but i just wish he wasn't so far away.

Lucky lucky man.....Wish I could do that today. It's so damn boring here with all the students returning home. But my boss has been giving me weird looks whenever he's around, and I think he's looking for an excuse to fire me so I should play it cool for now.

People can be so paranoid about the city. I have a cousin that lives in the suburbs who refuses to visit because he thinks I live in a ghetto. He's told the rest of my family all sorts of ridiculous stories about Pilsen, scared my grandmother half to death. And I've seen more rats in the Loop than anywhere else.

I see rats in the subway a lot. Giant rats, and in the neighborhood around 47th and Damen there are HUGE rats, like the size of small dogs. I was helping my friend move some time ago, and we moved an old organ that he had in his garage, and a rat came out and ran across my shoes, i swear to god that damn thing brushed up against my knees it was so big.

Yes, I definitely wish you luck with a stripper. Went through one of those myself about 9 years ago. I was very inexperienced and fell hard. Got really burned. Spent a semester in a bottle of vodka. Surprisingly, i had very good grades that term. Anyway, she got knocked up by a married Marine a few months after she dumped me, ended up doing some porn from what i heard. I saw her about 2 years back and she looked horrible---fat and pasty, like she'd been floating in a septic tank for weeks. I had to laugh. It was good to have won in the end.

I haven't been here in a while, I like the L journal, very amusing.

Phantom just reminded me of my favorite guy in Jacksonville. If you drive down University BLVD, on a good day you will catch a glimpse of the strangest site. There is a man that rides his bike up and down that road wearing a Superman shirt (cape included) and camo pants. As if that's not good enough his bike has streamers and a flower basket on the front of it. The first time I saw him I almost crashed my car from laughing my ass off. I know he's probably not too mentally stable, but dear god how can you not laugh at that!

haha - was it the person who does the michael jackson routine on the mag. mile? all dressed in black and dancing with a milk crate...
almost as good as the guy who dresses like an indian from the village people (he's black and middle aged) that walks past our office every noon to go sell socks by the 90/94 on ramp....
new year's party would be awesome.. i think my friends are going to be laaaaaaaaaaame again this year.
