i got This Island on tuesday 
thanks guys, for your offers to help out and stuff. it's a fantastic cd - it definitely got me bouncing off the walls. it also inspired my halloween costume. here's a sneak preview:

i pulled a very unsuccessful all-nighter last night for a measly 4 page paper. no big deal, right? well, by 7 am, i only had one page done. kind of ridiculous, wouldn't you say? i dont know...stuff like that is really beginning to be a problem. i'm not a typical procrastinator - i mean, sure i'd rather be doing something fun. and i'll put off a paper to have a good time. but i've found that even when i make a CONSCIOUS DECISION to sit down and write, i can't form sentences. anything i DO write ends up being replaced later on because it sounds absolutely ridiculous. but, with about three hours left until something's due, i can slap sentences on the paper like butter on bread (??)
it's gonna get me into a ton of trouble in the future i think. for example: ten page paper due next thursday. 
operating on an hour of sleep here...
but the weekend's here!!! (lets drink some goddamn beer!)
who saw that Q set?? my golly, wasn't it spectacular?
