Well now. I was very nearly in a car accident tonight. I will completely admit it was pretty much my fault. I was waiting at a roundabout and I saw a car coming round and let it pass an just as I was heading off again another car appeared from the right and I just kept going, and as he was taking the turn to my direct left he nearly went into the rear side of me. I felt like such an idiot. It was one of those things where you see it happening but there is nothing you can do to stop it. Luckily I was in an automatic so I just put my foot down to get out the was and didn't have to worry about having to move up a gear to go faster.
Now, I take 70% responsibility for this near accident, but this particular roundabout is SHIT. really, really shit. There is shrubbery and bushes and stuff, and due to the layout of the roundabout, you can't see if someone is coming from straight across, where this guy was coming from, so as there was noone waiting at the exit to my right, I couldn't judge if there was anyone on their way round. Mental note to avoid that roundabout as much as possible.
ANyway.....
My sister is out tonight babysitting, and dad is still in Spain (did I mention my Dad is in Spain working, and he was meant to be away a week, and as of this coming Sunday he will have been away 3 weeks. Idiots.) so it's just me and mum in tonight. So when I dropped my sister off for babysitting I popped into Asda and got mum some Tiramasu and myself some Rhubarb crumble and a tub of coffee ice cream. NOM! So mum is making some french toast for dinner as we both feel uninspired.
Stayed at Tim's last night. It was odd being there on a weeknight, but it was soooo night having the place to ourselves (his mum and stepdad are on honeymoon). He cooked me some cheese and bacon pasta bake and we had cheesecake afterwards while we watchedDead Set which Tim had Skyplus'd when it was on. Damn it was good! and I realised the girl in it that plays Pippa (Kathleen McDermott) works in a karaoke bar called Shanghai Shuffle in Glasgow, which is where I was a couple of weeks ago with work, so I actually met her without realising! Woop.
Soooooo......tomorrow Tim is coming to stay, then on saturday morning he is heading off to Damnation with his friends, so I am going to my sister's to help her decorate in time for the baby coming in January. Then on Saturday night I am going to LittleGonzoGirl's leaving night for her work to get merry and pissed. WAYHEY! Then staying at Tim's til Tuesday, WIN.
Ok, I have french toast (or freedom toast as you 'mericans call it) now so I shall depart.
