Last week, at night, there was pouring rain...so I gathered up my umbrella and went for a stroll to think. And thought a bit about this and that.
On unimportant matters, Raiders of the Lost Ark is just flat out one of the best movies ever made. And I got a catalog of women's clothing called Boston Proper that has some of the sexiest clothes I have seen in awhile. Also at www.bostonproper.com
Now I challenge all of you. Well at least those of you that celebrate Christmas...or the non-religious part of it. Only about 35 more days to go. For about ten years now, at this time, I seek out one or two families that are down on their luck. They are easy to find. Then I try and get them things...really nice things...that they would never, ever get for themselves. Things to help out as well. Gift certificates for toys for their children and food and things like that. But I try to get a few things for each of them that they might want to have but would never ever buy due to their circumstances. Then I wrap them and ship them - always completely anonymously. To try and make a better holiday. I know it is easier to just make a donation to this or that charity; or help through a church; or drop of a toy for a tot. And all of that is for good causes..and greatly appreciated. But I challenge you to try this...even if it is just one really nice gift for one person or child. Sacrifice on something for yourself or your family and do this thing for a total stranger and do it as totally anonymous...and enjoy how you feel.
Things I know and things I hope.
I know I don't have the greatest body of the many guys out there, but I hope that I have learned how to be a great lover so as to make up for it.
I hope I fall in love soon, and I know that when I do she will always smell like cinnamon to me no matter what her scent.
I know I am a good person, and I hope that someday someone sees what I really do have inside.
I know that I try and do nice things for others without any expectation of anything in return, and I hope that one day somebody will actually believe that...and hope that maybe somebody will eventually muster a "thank you".
I know I am eccentric and I hope it does not come across as creepy.
I know I have the best musical tastes and I hope one day you will give a listen.
I know that a great kiss is better than passionless sex and I hope you mature to agree.
I know a touch can cause a fire, and I hope to feel it again.
I know I am the greatest total package of a guy walking through the jungle.....and I hope one day you learn that as well.
