So tonight I got a free ticket to see Audioslave, I'm not a big fan, but a free show is a free show. A little background on my taste, R.A.T.M. had to be one of my all time favorite bands, and Soundgarden is right up there with them, but I'm glad they both called it quits when they did. The show had me jammin' the first Rage CD as soon as I got home while I threw shit around trying to find my Louder than Love CD. Cornell is an great vocalist, they played Loud Love and that kicked my ass.......then it hit me.....................are they going to do some Rage covers too???? Chris is bad ass but he can't hit that whathefuckyuocallit that is Zach DeLaRocha. Well after a couple more Soundgarden covers, I heard the inevitable, Tom busts into Bombtrack. Right off the bat you could tell Cornell wasn't going to pull it off, and he knew it as well as most everybody else in that place knew it. I take nothing away from him, it is like getting Lemmy of Motorhead to do some Al Green covers, somethings just don't work. He manned up and gave it the ol' college try, he mumbled through Bombtrack, and well, mumbled through killing in the name of. Tom bailed him out by going overboard with his guitar masturbation and it went off as well as it could have. I can't think of one vocalist that wouldnt sound like Mushmouth from Fat Albert fronting Rage Aginst the Machine except Zach. Anyways, to sum it up:

Rage Aginst the Machine - Self titled album is super fucking bad ass!

Soundgarden - Louder than Love and Badmotorfinger, both are fucking bad ass!

Audioslave - I'll steal the 2 good songs off of the internet.
