Back from curry with the sgclub. It was simply amazing. Everybody there recognized me as either "The Bionic Femme" or "the girl who was supposed to meet Claudia" lol. I really liked the crowd, everyone was older and mature, but still hilariously funny. O is ADORABLE!!!! She is so cute!!! She makes me think of an Anime character. Mitten and Lola were there, and they are simply stunning in real life. I sat at the edge of the table with a bunch of guys (piningshaft, requiem, etc.) and we had a roundtable discussion about women. One chap speculated that all women are either stupid, crazy, or ugly. I raised my pinky to my lip and trailed "Which one am I....." lol. I don't know, I would pick either ugly or crazy. Actually, scratch ugly, I am not a goddess, but if you guys saw pictures of me from when I was younger, I was really ugly and I was always the fat kid. Then I went to high school and I was just the ugly kid. Then I grew up and I am now the palatable kid with a sardonic sense of humor from the jeering that occured throughout my life. Everyone on this site has done so much to help me see the beauty in myself, and I haven't even taken off my clothes yet, lol. Just the fact that Claudia especially took the time to visit makes me feel really realllllly happy. I am not exaggerating when I say that this is the first time in my life i've felt somewhat pretty, and it is all due to the positive feedback and wonderful compliments I get from these warmhearted strangers in my journals. smile

Anyway, the curry club was a bunch of fun, I had a great time and will definitely come next week if i'm not wrapped up in moving. It was so refreshing to meet mature, contemporary people with great senses of humor. I love it. I get tired from hanging out with superficial people my age sometimes. They never seem to have anything interesting to say, and they all act the same. I talked with O and may perhaps be able to bum a ride to the 1 year anniversary in Portland, which would kick so much ass!

S5 tells me that Dia is really quite shy and softspoken in real life. Dia, is this true??? smile You should come to curry and we could be quiet and shy together, like a support group of two, lol. This just adds to the complexity of Dia that makes me admire her so.

Well, I attempted to go to a new club, but it backfired and really was not my scene at all. Next week, I will be back at the usual, sweating and shaking in vinyl, surveying the crowd from my suspended goddess cage. I wonder if I am the one imprisoned in the cage, or if it is a barrier keeping certain onlookers out.

I bought a wonderful book by Michelle Tea called "Valencia" today. It's all about this punky lesbian and her dating misadventures, from what I gather. O says she's read it twice already. I really identify with the main character, with her sarcasm and the way she searches for a fulfilling love and instead finds all these weird psychos (for instance, Petra, the knife wielding dominatrix). Her writing style is refreshing and I strongly recommend that every dyke between 18-500 years of age goes out and purchases it immediately. It's hilariously funny and at the same time very vivid and real. Her writing style is similar to mine, so I feel I can learn a lot from it.

And ffcracker, I am flattered to know that I bring back those sweet memories of your first love. I am sorry she turned out to be a psycho. I bet you anything an even better girl is going to come your way any day now; I have this weird thing where all of my immediate friends find true love after befriending me, so watch out, I am a good luck charm.

Sorry this entry was so long! **Muah**
