Viva la resistance!!!!
I posted my challenge to the dykes of SF on CL and got lots of email from other girls who are tired of having to fit a stupid Ani DiFrancite stereotype.
There are other girls who are sick of this, too.
In response, I suggested we have a Renegade Dyke/Bi meeting at a coffeeshop sometime this weekend and meet each other.
My slogan is, "The old way is goin' down!"
I am overturning this stupid stereotype. Dykes should be able to be themselves, it's about sexuality, not whether or not you're vegan or listen to folk music.
Wow, I have never felt this charged before. I've been tackling things with so much zeal lately. Hopefully more girls will respond to this and we can have our own sanctuary from the closed-minded community that excludes us.
