unable to articulate just what this movie did for me....
They do not make movies like this anymore and I can see why this one was consider so radical for the year (71) The most disturbing Hoffman role since Midnight Cowboywithout a doubt. However, this was a pile of burnt celluloid trash:
about as subtle as an ass raping pinata.....with a soundtrack so fucking bad it makes the christian rock informercial music seem down right rawking....so thank God for Netflix....I mean we both thought the idea of it sounded good.....but turned it off just 35 minutes in....
been listening to Rainer Ptacek sometimes a man needs to put down the guitar and listen to true genuis....other then that my life is about as entertaining as an overdubbed episode of 8 is enough in espanol....
I can smell the artic air coming down...
he was innocent
but that was a long time ago
love comes in a room
love blows out the walls
and we're all consumed
flames in alchohol
I thought between me and you
nothing could come between
what do I know I know about love
saddest song I heard
was so beautiful
and in this light
you look just like her

Sliding Doors, huh? I can imagine. I'm sure that concept (of parallel lives) has been done well by someone. Offhand, the closest thing I can think of to a parallel-life movie is The Double Life of Veronique. Dunno if that counts- but rent it anyway, if you haven't.
