Incredible man and musician...it grinds me down to think about how many times this guy went to prison because he voiced what was on his mind...but the world niether cares nor fucking changes....even in the world of today (let freedom ring) --we silence anyone who lends his voice to opposition..we beat these men with weapons and words and whatever the fuck else we can--Brian Wilson said it best when he said "I just was'nt made for these times" My inner life ( home life, family et al) is very nourishing and rich-I love all that it offers me but the outside world is less and less appealing....Fucking crumb ass weak movie remakes, guys in shiny suits treading new wave (which sucked the first time around btw) books with little thought and thin plots....these are the people who need to be jailed...Perhaps everyone in America would start focusing on something other then Wacko Jackson if someone they knew were imprisoned for trying to bring about social change....or perhaps the entertainment industry would wake the fuck up if we stopped spending money on all this dreck they foist upon us....I doubt that will happen--simply because most people are in fact entertained by all this stuff....whatever, another fucking rant no one wants to read and yet another person not doing a damn thing about it...on a brighter note-I was turned on to a new record label that is putting out quality music with a decided free-jazz type bent...Family-Vinyard is the name...check them out if you lean that way in your musical taste...enough of my mental vomit...off to sit out under the stars and compose for a bit...

this BBC doc from around '82 or so is available on DVD now - if you've never seen it, it is a must.
i went apeshit when they started releasing dual-album reissues of his stuff. nearly a whole shelf devoted to the guy. amazing spirit, trance-inducing music...
everyone scatter, scatter...
