Monday morning evolution:
Life can change quicker then you can curse the one you have, driving back from dropping her off today a woman was hit savagely by a van (I believe). As far as I know, the vehicle in question did not come back. I sat at the light of Spring Garden and Broad ST. I was watching a person on a bicycle because...

I'm way too fucking gone to think about any of that. You've got a heart, run with it. It's a space I wish I was in. I'm all "Elvis after visiting Dr. Nich" numb. Not going upstairs....too fucking vacant for hell. Haunting a bordello near you.

BBQ or no BBQ...you guys are welcome any time. I mean it...any time. Richmond is a fun (or funny) place to get away from things for a couple of days. I'm learning to like it a lot more than I ever thought I would. Fuck it, that's not important...what is important is getting together with cool people, making connections and talking about "important life decisions" (insert dramatic music here). You know what I mean? I guess I'm tired of this being so superficial. I meet/talk to/chat/whatever with so many people everyday and never make an effort beyond that. Well, no more...

scraping walls, writing songs, packing, and clean living....I am Jack's overwhelming bundle of excitement. Sometimes this whole internet thing makes me want to spend time in the real world....which for the most part I despise. Whate ever happened to humor, diversity, and all that jazz in these suppposed utopias.....well, enough of that.....time to get up and burn this day back into the ground....

Thanks for the comments and the recommendation...I'll look into that book. It's just weird to wake up one day and see yourself in a different light...and strongly dislike what you see.

You know, it looks to me like we have similarly eclectic tastes in music. I'm wondering if a compilation trade is in order.

SG isn't perfect, but I really don't meet folks anywhere else.

yes the land that spawned Xena and LOTR and a bunch of good bands in the 80's-i've heard nothing but good about NZ from others....

I'm sorry you feel that bad about the group. Let's face it, it was bound to happen sooner or later. I'm not happy about how it's gotten either, but what can I do? If I start kicking everyone out it's just gonna make it worse because people inevitably side with others and form their little cliques... kinda like what happened to the old scene, but on a smaller scale and in a much quicker amount of time. My SG account expires next month so I really don't want to invest too much effort into the damn mess anyway. Too many cooks spoil the kitchen. People never cease to fuck good things up with their precious egos. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

edited to ask... I don't know how much longer you plan to stay at SG, but perhaps in mid-June when I'm outta here you could take over that group? Whip it into shape.

Yessir...the Leaving Trains were the shit, alright. I think they were a little too weird for your run-of-the-mill "punker" but all the cool people (hahaha) knew the truth. Yup, they rocked.

As for the new BR, I know a lot of people aren't into it, but I think it's some of their best work in a long, long time. Process of Belief was awesome...a very consistently good album...but the good songs on The Empire Strikes First aren't just good, they're fucking amazing. Definitely check out "Let Them Eat War", "Los Angeles is Burning", "Sinister Rouge" and "Live Again". I doubt you'll be disappointed.

Hats off to you, my friend. skull

I didn't see Nick Cave, I dont have Biography BBC, I only get terrestrial TV which is rubbish...although having said that I think maybe I have seen it, last year, yeah it is probably the same one... confused hehe!

TORN OUT SECTION 2

If you were to walk straight out of the ornately carved cedar doors, ones eye immediately fooled and tricked by the complex array of fountains leading down to the shore. Awash in the prism effect of water mingled with the cadence of sound interwoven with the cracking eggs of sunrise. I lost sight of where I thought I was supposed to...

Hey, I read this earlier. I was a lil tipsy (like the people in the club) and couldn't think of anything to say. Now it's 1 a.m. and I still can't. I'm gonna go to sleep. Spent the evening with Lemmy Caution and Natasha Vonbraun playing skee-ball. Won a backhoe. I have no idea how ta drive the thing.

"So why did I do it? I could offer a million answers, all false. The truth is that I'm a bad person, but that's going to change, I'm going to change. This is the last of this sort of thing. I'm cleaning up and I'm moving on, going straight and choosing life. I'm looking forward to it already. I'm going to be just like you:...

"RECHERCH"
It is here that I find myself languidly drifting in and out of consciousness, laying in what would turn out to be a gelatinous pool of my own blood. Is not that a kicker Well, I guess the high school yearbook committees assessment were right. Have I ever told you how pristine the night sky appears to me? Like a plate glass window, smashing...

Hey hunk 'o hockey hottness!

I'd say I can easily see the Halliburton/Chenney - Bush/Saudi conspiracy being true. Hell, the whole thing is pretty much laid out before our eyes.

And Brett Hull's foot was in the blue prior to the puck... No Goal! (given the rules at that time)

Oh yeah, and the other day someone dropped props on yours and your sweeties musical tastes. I'll second that!

Just watched The Mission again the other day. What a kick ass Morricone soundtrack. Prima would have approved. ;-)
