I had been feeling quite bad lately (that being the last few years..hehe) but recently I have been making a lot of new friends here in San Diego (which I am fairly new to) and on the net. This poem is based on those connections. I wrote it in like 5 minutes so be easy on me. Also it is written towards a female but it applies to friends in general.

Hello miss
Glad I met you
Looked up from the ground
At your feet I stood
Looking
Way up
Into your eyes
My surprise
For sure
Never felt it coming
I was numb
No pain
Endless space, my head explained
Just got back
Black planet in fact
Twisting light
Force tremendous
Friendship is
A heart extended
Not hurtful, retracted and dismissed
But exhibited through inhibition
Reaching out
A conscious decision
No stakes
Just good conversation intake
Stimulating minds
Thoughts
Similar lines

Similar kinds
Much to discuss
Traveling through life
Rise I must
Your words making the world softer
Friendship, I trust.
