(on Noguchi...)

Chisel and petal; blood hardened;
Volcanic blossom bronzed or severed.

No nail in notch: gravity. Sheets
Of snow or petrified ink. Rising

Sun jig-saw or impatient millstone,
I curve to you and search my

Wisdom, which eludes me. That's
The key, the mystery of mind

As stranger, averting eyes in
Bald humility, a smooth polish

To the forehead so similar to self

As to be unknown...

Wow, that new work sounds wonderful. Do it! Do it!

Ooh, I didn't know Carol had a new one coming out. I'll have tpo read it. (And yes, you should read The Time Traveller's Wife!)

I got Chelsea Girl.

Really?! You've NEVER played Scrabble? Wow... You're missing out.

I ran a textile design club. Sort of a niche market, you could say.

Lovely poem. smile

That's a mysterious one. Like it. "Chisel" and "petal" go well together; not just 'cause they sound similar but because chisels are cold and hard and petals not so cold and soft. But that's probably why you used them, yes?

Those plants were sacred to the Druids as herbs, healing herbs, although they were almost undoubtedly used in their rituals and things as well.
